Hello, In 2005 our beautiful Adrea was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, we immediately sought medical care and did everything the Dr.'s recommended. Within 2 years she went from having Relapsing/Remitting (this is the kind where their episodes are usually few and far between) to Secondary Progressive, which has left her with tremors so bad she can no longer write, drive or feed herself. She can barely walk using a walker. They have her on the most powerful drug in their arsenal and it really isn't helping much at all anymore. The Dr.'s have no other treatment to offer except for a chemotherapy drug that would totally destroy her immune system and possibly damage her heart. This has lead us to the Stem Cell Institute in Panama City, Panama. Stem cell therapy is making great strides in other countries, unfortunately, stem cell therapy here in the United States is moving very slowly. Her Dr. told me about it approximately 4 years ago and told me it was about 5 years off, now they're saying it's 5 to 10 years off from now! One wonders if the FDA will ever approve it! Adrea has an appointment to recieve stem cell therapy the first week of October. We are very hopeful that she will benefit somehow from this therapy. It is very expensive so we are trying to raise the money before she goes. It is very difficult for us to ask for donations, especially during these tough economic times but we just cannot do this on our own. If you can help in anyway it will be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate... then we just ask that you keep Adrea & Eddie in your thoughts and prayers, those are appreciated just as much. Several fund raisers are in the works and I will send out info as soon as the details become available, many wonderful people have volunteered to try to help, we appreciate their efforts so much! An account has been set up to help with this endeavor, your gift can be sent to: Adrea Ming c/o AAFCU P.O. Box 62910 Colo. Spgs., CO 80962-2910 Please make the check out to Adrea Ming and reference account #177642. You can check out the website for the Stem Cell Institute at www.cellmedicine.com, please forward this email to anyone you feel might want to help Adrea. Thank you so much for whatever way you choose to help. Blessings to you, Matt, Kenna Sue, Brett, Brittany and the rest of the Miramons, the Diller family and the Ming family. |
